Flag Keepers retires worn, tattered and faded American Flags as directed by the US Flag Code. We encourage individuals to send us their old and worn American flags. We will gladly accept and retire your worn, tattered or faded US Flag. Donations are optional and greatly appreciated.

Would you like us to speak at your event, school, or church? We can discuss the importance of Old Glory, the Flag Code, and how to retire American flags, including information on flag retirement ceremonies. There is no fee charged for this service, but it is limited to the SWFL area. To book us in another location, please send us a message.

Flag Keepers was founded in 2004 by Sergeant Major (Ret) John Doty, USMC. His son, David Doty, is a Bible teacher, real estate broker, and entrepreneur who operates Flag Keepers in honor of Old Glory and to continue his father's legacy. The organization is supported by small donations from those who wish to donate American flags, as well as a small percentage of the flags we receive and David's real estate business. Additionally, Flag Keepers provides flag retirement boxes to ensure that old flags are retired with the respect they deserve.
