American flag Retirement ceremonies
We regularly retire the flags sent to us in a dignified manner, as directed in the US Flag Code. We will gladly accept your flag at no charge. We also train interested parties in how to hold retirement ceremonies of their own.
American Flag Education
Would you like us to speak at your event, school or church? There is no fee charged to come and share about Old Glory or the Flag Code. (This service is limited to the SWFL area. To book us in another location, please send us a message.)
Who we are
Flag Keepers was started by Sergeant Major (Ret) John Doty, USMC in 2004. His son David Doty is a Bible teacher, real estate broker and entrepreneur. He operates Flag Keepers in honor of Old Glory and to carry on the legacy of his father. Flag Keepers is funded by small donations included with a very small percentage of the flags we receive and by David's real estate business.
